We absolutely love this recipe. I just changed up our traditional Rice Krispy treats with lots of additions---LOTS!
I told Dan to take the leftovers to work because I certainly could not be trusted with them. They were a HUGE hit. This recipe only takes minutes and you usually have everything on hand.
Try switching out some of the ingredients with your favorites.
Hope you LOVE them :) Have a great Week!
Peanut Butter Pretzel Loaded Rice Krispy Squares
1/4 cup butter
1 10 ounce bag marshmallows
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup pretzels, roughly chopped
1 cup walnuts, chopped
4 cups Rice Krispy cereal
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
Add butter to large saucepan on low to medium heat. When butter is melted add marshmallows. Stir until melted and add peanut butter. Take off heat. Stir in pretzels, walnuts and cereal.
Add 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips and gently stir. Pour in 8x8 buttered baking dish. Top with 1 cup milk chocolate chips.
Cool and cut in squares. Store in airtight container.
Notes: I used pretzel twists and added them to a zip lock bag and gently tapped them with a rolling pin. When choosing your marshmallows you can use the large or small marshmallows.
