I've always wanted to make homemade tortillas. I thought they would be hard and very time consuming.
I was sooooo wrong. They came together in a snap and they are absolutely delicious.
So glad we made them!
I LOVE my tortilla warmer---Found it at Kohl's---don't know what I would do without it :)
We stuffed our homemade tortillas with Sweet Pork and cheese.
Homemade Flour Tortillas

1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup canola oil
1 cup hot water
In mixing bowl, whisk flour, salt and baking powder.
Add oil, mixing with your fingers until the mixture looks like fine crumbs.
Add hot water and mix together until ball is formed.
Cover with plastic wrap. Let rest for 1 hour or refrigerate overnight.
Divide the dough into 12 balls. Roll out one at a time on floured surface. Brush off excesss flour.
Cook on hot ungreased griddle over medium to high heat. Turn tortillas when they begin to brown.
