Cherries in the Snow
1 box white cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 8 ounce block cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 12 ounce container Coolwhip
Prepare white cake mix according to package directions.
Now, you can bake this in a sheet pan, two loaf pans or a 9 x 13 pan. Whatever works best for you. The trick is layering it so it stays nice and pretty.
Cool cake completely. Cut cake in half, if using sheet cake pan or 9 x 13 pan.
Meanwhile, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. Whip until smooth and creamy.
On a serving plate, spread a small amount of Coolwhip. Top with half of your cut cake. Top with cream cheese mixture. Top with other slice of cake. Top with remaining Coolwhip.
Top each slice with cherry pie filling when serving.
