1 box white cake mix, prepared
8 ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
1 box Strawberry Jello (small package)
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
red food coloring
Spray two cake pans, 8 or 9" with cooking spray.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Divide in pans and bake as directed.
Let cakes cool for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil 1 cup water. Add jello to small bowl and add 1 cup boiling water until Jello is dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water, stirring.
Poke cakes every inch or so with fork. Pour jello mixture over cakes.
Let cakes cool before frosting.
Stir a couple drops of red food coloring in 8 ounce Cool Whip tub, stir until you get a nice shade of pink.
Place one of your cakes on cake plate and frost the top. Add second cake, frosting around sides and top.
Note: To make this even easier, you can just bake cake in 9x13 pan, pour jello over cake, cool and frost :)
