1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 TB ground cinnamon
Combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt in small mixing bowl. Sifting together until well combined.
In large bowl cream butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
Gradually add flour mixture until well combined.
Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls or you can use your cookie scoop to form balls.
In small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar. Roll dough ball in cinnamon sugar mixture and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until set.
Leave on baking sheet for an additional 3 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
Store in airtight container :)
