It's hard to believe only one box of "Spice" cake mix made all of these bird nest cupcakes, jelly bean bite size treats and cream cheese filled cupcake jaws.
Bird Nest Cupcakes with Peeps
1 box spice cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
coconut, shredded
chow mein noodles
food coloring
cream cheese frosting
jelly bean eggs, speckled
peeps
Combine cake mix, water, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and oil.
Mix until well combined. Pour in prepared sprayed muffin tins, paper lined muffin tins and mini tins.
Bake as directed and let cool completely.
Combine a few drops of food coloring to your coconut and stir.
Decorate your cupcakes with frosting, eggs, peeps and coconut for grass or use chow mein noodles for a nest.
