This recipe is one I remember from when I was a kid. I was always so amazed when they were finished baking. They really do look like cute little porcupines!
1 pound ground beef or turkey burger
1/2 cup uncooked minute rice
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Mix turkey burger, rice, 1/2 cup water, onions, and seasonings. Shape mixture into meatballs.
Place in ungreased 9x13 baking dish.
Stir together tomato sauce, water and Worshestershire. Pour over meatballs.
Cover with foil and bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Take foil off and bake an additional 15 minutes or until meatballs are done.
