This is my sister Cathy's Spaghetti Bake :) I can't tell you how many times our family has made this one.
You can even make your everyday spaghetti recipe and then layer like shown below.......Whalaaa! Instant Spaghetti Bake :)
1 1/2 lbs ground beef or turkey burger
1 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried basil
28 ounce can tomatoes, cut up
15 ounce can tomato sauce
4 ounce can mushrooms, drained
2 tsp. sugar
8 ounce package spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
1/3 cup parmesean cheese, grated
Cook burger with garlic and onions until brown and no longer pink, drain. Stir in un-drained tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, salt and basil.
Bring to boil and reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add cooked and drained spaghetti noodles.
Spread half spaghetti mixture in 9x13 baking dish. Top with mozzarella cheese. Spread remaining spaghetti mixture on top of cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Let cool 15 minutes, serve :) Good Stuff!
