This is the first recipe I ever made as a kid. It's so simple and a comfort meal in itself .
It's one of my son, Aaron's favorite meals.....enjoy!
6 to 8 potatoes, peeled
milk or heavy cream
1/4 cup butter
2 cups colby/jack cheese, shredded
1 pound ground beef or turkey burger
1 small onions, chopped
2 cans tomato soup
1 can corn, drained
1 can green beans, drained
season all salt
Boil potatoes in salted water for 20 minutes or until fork tender. Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, brown turkey burger, onions, season salt, salt and pepper until meat is browned. Drain. Add tomato soup, beans and corn. Stir on medium heat.
Mash potatoes with milk, butter, salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Spread meat mixture in casserole dish . Frost with mashed potatoes and top with cheese. Sprinkle with paprika and bake 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese melts.
