Jake and I made Caramel Apples today. My favorite part, besides eating them is the Spider :)
10 granny apples
2 bags caramels about 60, unwrapped
2 TB water
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
10 popsicle sticks
creepy spider rings
In saucepan melt caramels, water and vanilla. Stir constantly until smooth and creamy.
Insert popsicle sticks in washed apples and dip in caramel until well coated. Dip in pecan pieces and cool on buttered wax paper. I also sprinkled a few pecans on the top around the stick :)
When everything was set, we put them in a cute cup cake liner and the creepy spider crawled up to rest. Garnish your Halloween serving plate with lots of candy corns.
