I've been on a smoothie kick for a few weeks-----mixing it up this time with blueberries and strawberries. I like to throw different things in here and there. Blueberries are incredibly healthy, so tasty and I LOVE how they pretty up my smoothies.
This recipe is just enough to fill up the blender. Perfect for a quick breakfast.
Strawberry Banana Orange Yogurt Smoothie
1 banana 2 cups frozen strawberries 1 cup orange juice 1 cup non fat plain yogurt 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract 2 cups ice sprinkle of sugar, optional
Add banana, strawberries, orange juice and yogurt to blender. Mix for a few seconds until smooth. Gradually add vanilla and ice. Add a little more orange juice if needed. You can also add a little sugar too :)
I've been wanting to try these Twix Bars forever! I spotted these super easy Twix Candy Bars with a sprinkle of sea salt. Next time, I think I'll make my own shortbread for the cookie. Who knew shortbread cookies were so expensive? Yikes!
Line a 8 x 8 square pan with foil or wax paper. Spray lightly with cooking spray. Arrange cookies in pan, set aside.
Melt caramels in saucepan with milk or cream. Cook on low, stirring constantly until you have smooth caramel. Cool slightly and pour over cookies. Allow caramel to set up, usually about 4 hours or even overnight.
Remove caramel cookies from pan by lifting sides of foil or wax paper. Place on cutting board. Carefully cut cookies with knife, trimming excess caramel and place on wire rack.
In microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and oil. Heat 1 minute, stir and heat again about 30 seconds or until melted and creamy. Dip cookies in chocolate and tap away excess chocolate on side of bowl. Place on wire rack to set completely. We sprinkled a little sea salt on ours. Or in the original recipe, they sprinkled it over the caramel before it was set.
